We are delighted to announce that we have raised £7,127.66 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. We presented the cheque to Hannah Forbester from the charity on Friday 15th March 2024.
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) was Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa’s chosen charity for 2023, voted for by the staff. The team held a number of different fundraising events throughout the year, as well as employees taking on personal challenges to push the total up.
These included a group taking part in the Suffolk Pier2Pier walk on 2nd September, which raised £1046.00. Spa Manager, Kate Lake also did a sponsored Dry December, while Squire’s Head Chef Lee Cooper hosted a Fish ‘n’ Chip Friday, as well as a whole team effort for Festive Jumpers on Christmas Jumper Day.
The fantastic amount raised is a testament to the hotel’s commitment to making a positive impact within the community, the donation will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families supported by EACH.
The chosen charity for 2024 is St.Nicholas Hospice, in Bury St Edmunds, with our team members planning lots of events and challenges to raise money for this fantastic charity.
