We're really excited to announce that we have recently refurbished our Restaurant and have also given it a new name to reflect the new decor and style to that of 'Squires' (formerly The Orangery).  Squires welcomes both residents and non-residents and marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Bedford Lodge Hotel.

The new name of 'Squires' is steeped in history in that Bedford Lodge Hotel was once owned by a Squire, George Baird aka 'The Squire', a notorious gentlemen rider and trainer.  On acquiring the hotel, George built a boxing saloon on one side and his enthusiasms included field sports and Lillie Langtry... former mistress of the Prince of Wales!

Squire's eclectic menus are sure to attract a wide and travelled clientele from young families to the work crowd to the senior's both locally and beyond; from those looking for a quiet lunch with friends to couples out on date night.   

At Bedford Lodge Hotel, we use only the finest seasonal ingredients and wherever possible we source all our produce locally.

We have an expertly selected extensive wine list to tempt you which complements our menu beautifully and includes everything from the finest Champagnes to the newest Bordeaux.
