Walks around Newmarket

If you are looking to explore the area on foot, there are plenty of local walks that can take you around our beautiful landscape with a few pubs dotted along the way to keep you hydrated.

The first is the three churches walk, taking in the stunning countryside visiting Moulton, Gazeley and Dalham over 6.5 miles.
This walk starts at Moulton only 2 miles outside of Newmarket with easy parking for you to explore the 3 churches along route.

The second walk is a walk taken from a local charity that put on the Summer Nights Walk each year in June, which sends you on a 10km circular walk around Newmarket past some of the most historial sites in Newmarket as well as some famous racing yards. The end of the walk feeds you onto the Newmarket Training Grounds where over 3000 racehorses are trained each day. Because of this, this walk will only be possible after 12noon when the horses have finished training and the general public can use the grounds after this time. The start of this walk is a short walk from hotel and brings you back when you complete this walk.
