The Glorious Twelfth
The Glorious Twelfth has nearly arrived! The 12th day of August marks the start of the shooting season for red grouse in Britain. Although grouse shooting is most commonly associated with the Scottish Highlands, red grouse were, and still are, shot on moors in Wales, Northern Ireland and as far south as England’s Peak District.
This August, you will be able to enjoy a delicious feast in our award-winning Squires restaurant. Choose from three different mains, all including this popular game bird.
