Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa has announced Kelly Whitby, Bar Waitress as Employee of the Year 2018. The prestigious accolade recognises Kelly’s provision of consistently exceptional service to Hotel guests. To help Kelly celebrate, Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa has awarded her a luxurious holiday for herself and a guest to a European destination of her choice including transportation.
Kelly will be able to select her dream destination and accommodation, which will then be booked and organised by Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa, to say thank you for her outstanding contribution to the Hotel.
An exceptional employee is chosen every month following nominations from Heads of Departments and Managers at Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa. At the end of the year, the Hotel’s senior management team reviews all twelve winners and votes for the most commendable Employee of the Year, as well as two runners up. This year’s runner up prizes went to Robin Waterhouse, Maintenance Assistant, and Amanda Clarke, Duty Manager, who both received a trophy for their special contributions over the year.
Noel Byrne, Chief Executive, Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa, comments: “Kelly has been with us for over six years, and many of our regulars will know her as an outstanding member of our bar team. One of Kelly’s most recent successes was being one of the driving forces behind our Macmillan Coffee Morning, where Kelly and her teams’ hard work led to the raising of nearly £500. Consistently excellent, Kelly often receives outstanding feedback from our guests and is a great asset in our team – we look forward to hearing all about her well-deserved European adventure!”
