Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa has its own master chef
Our 2 AA Rosette Squires restaurant has its very own master chef. Jamie Mountford, Senior Sous Chef at the Hotel, is part of this year’s line-up on MasterChef: The Professionals, and made his first appearance on Wednesday 30 November, having applied for the show in February.
Since then he has taken part in the rigorous interview process to get through to the TV stage of the show.
Jamie’s day-to-day role is to manage, inspire and guide the team to produce high quality dishes for Squires restaurant, which provides a completely modern dining experience. Jamie’s style of food served at the Hotel – uses the best seasonal produce that is cooked to perfection with an understated modern flair.
Jamie commented: “It was great getting involved in the show, being in a competitive environment with other chefs who know a thing or two, bouncing ideas back and forth. I loved every moment of it, it really was a once in a life time experience. I feel proud to be one of 48 chefs – of the 6000 that applied – who made it through.”
