Bedford Lodge hotel receives top TripAdvisor accolade

Newmarket’s only four-star hotel the Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa is celebrating after entering TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame for winning the travel review site’s Certificate of Excellence five years in a row.

Thanks to favourable reviews by guests and diners the luxury hotel continues to be ranked number one out of nine hotels in Newmarket on the review site.

A thrilled Noel Byrne, Chief Executive of the hotel, said: “We pride ourselves on excellent service and maintaining luxurious surroundings so it is particularly rewarding to receive such favourable reviews from our guests over the past five years.

“A big thank you to our team for always going above and beyond to ensure our guests have a positive experience. We will always strive to maintain our standards and to go that extra mile for all our guests. Thank you to all of you who have spent the time to leave feedback – it is crucial to us.”

TripAdvisor said: “The Certificate of Excellence can be earned only by receiving consistently great reviews on the world’s largest travel site.”

Last September, the hotel was upgraded by the AA from four black stars to four red stars, an accolade only enjoyed by 55 hotels in the country.

In the past few years the hotel has benefited from a £12m investment including a luxury onsite £5.5m Spa. In the New Year, £300,000 was spent on its health and fitness club, The Edge, upgrading its gym facilities.

The 77-bed hotel is situated just a short distance from the town’s famous paddocks and training stables. It is set in three acres of secluded rose gardens, and is a favourite for bridal parties as it is licensed for weddings.
