The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel is set to offer the region’s most luxurious spa experience with the appointment of a new Spa Manager and the promise of an array of enticing face and body treatments.
The Spa is being built adjacent to the 4 star Newmarket hotel in the 19th century Rockfield House and will open its doors this summer. The £3m spa will offer guests tantalising treatments and relaxation in the serene and tranquil grounds of the Georgian estate.
Newly appointed Spa Manager Anna Ramsay joins the team bringing with her a wealth of experience in the spa industry having worked in luxury spas across the country and as far afield as the Maldives.
Anna, from Norwich, has worked in a variety of roles from Spa Manager to UK and International Trainer for British natural skincare brand ESPA where she trained therapists in all levels of practical treatments, product knowledge and the highest standard of customer care.
Anna explained: “The Spa at Bedford Lodge Hotel is going to bring something new and exciting to Newmarket and I am thrilled to be a part of it. We are working closely with ESPA to provide our guests with only the very best products and treatments so that our guests can enjoy a unique experience tailored to their needs.
“We are also developing signature treatments unique to Bedford Lodge Hotel which will include advanced enzyme facials, Balinese massage with hot stones and detoxifying body cleanses for those who live a fast paced lifestyle. We also have the ESPA Time package where our expert therapists will ensure that the most suitable treatment is selected and then personalised, maximising treatment results.”
Guests to The Spa will able to indulge in treatments including Rasul, a traditional Arabian cleansing ritual using mud to exfoliate the skin and improve well-being, as well as experiential showers which awaken the senses with a combination of music, lights and water.

Other treatments available at the lavish spa include Hammam, a rejuvenating Turkish bath which aims to take away all the stresses of modern life. The Spa will also feature a relaxing roof top hot tub and hydrotherapy pool as well as shoulder massage fountains, while other deluxe treatments including relaxing body massages and skin refining facials will also be available. In addition to these treatments, guests can also expect luxury manicures and pedicures.
Guests to The Spa will also have the option to stay at the chic Bedford Lodge Hotel or dine in the hotel’s delectable award winning restaurant Squires. With 77 stylish bedrooms and suites which have recently been upgraded as part of the hotel’s £5.5 million expansion programme, the spa and hotel are the perfect combination.
