Job Posting: Conference & Events Coordinator

Hours: Full Time (40 hours)

Working Pattern: 5 days per week alternating between 10am – 6pm and 8am – 4pm. Occasional weekend work will be required.

Location: Bedford Lodge Hotel and Spa

Salary Range: Dependent upon experience

About the Position

We are looking for a Full-Time Conference and Events Coordinator to work within our Conference and Events Team. The role is fast-paced and requires exceptional attention to detail & exemplary organisational skills.

The key responsibilities for this role will include, taking and managing bookings for all our conference and events business – using Opera Sales & Catering. Looking after our Weddings from enquiry, through to operational handover. This will include making sure all enquiries and hotel show rounds are dealt with in a proactive manner and converted into confirmed bookings. The candidate will be required to upsell all-conference and events equipment, food and beverage, and other hotel facilities. Communicate and share knowledge with other hotel departments on a regular basis through comprehensive function sheets and team meetings.

About You

The ideal candidate will have initiative, be proactive, and be a team player. You must have high standards and possess superb customer service skills and be able to anticipate guest’s needs wherever possible. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience at a similar level within a similar operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a progressive and challenging role. The ideal candidate will have previous Opera experience and a passion for hospitality.

This role will include working some weekends for weddings appointments or events.
