Dance Studio at Bedford Lodge in Newmarket

Our dance studio is now open, making it easier and more fun to get fit and fabulous! All classes will be at our studio in Newmarket, Suffolk.

Classes on offer include studio cycling, pilates, yoga flow, boxercise and body blitz. Our friendly instructors have all been personally auditioned by celebrity personal trainer Niki Wibrow. Niki has trained with Radio One DJ Sara Cox, Patsy Palmer and many other high profile personalities, she's is currently the face of 'Get Fit with Netflix' and delivers the ultimate in fitness solutions.

Fully air-conditioned, the studio boasts a state-of-the-art sound system and plenty of room to take your workout to the next level.

Open to the public, gym members and residents, dance classes in our Newmarket studio. Mid-morning classes are scheduled from 9.30am and evening classes will commence at 6pm.

Timetables will be reviewed and refreshed as necessary. 

Prices as follows:

  • Gym Members:  £3 per class
  • Residents: £5 per class
  • General Public: £7.50 per class

DEFINITION OF CLASSES

Boxercise

Boxercise is an exercise class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit. A typical class could involve shadow-boxing, skipping, hitting pads, kicking punchbags, press-ups, shuttle-runs and sit-ups. 

HIT and Abs

High Intensity Training (HIT), is a popular workout which involves a number of shorts bursts of intense and effortful exercise with short recovery breaks in between.

Indoor Studio Cycling/Spinning

A high energy studio cycling experience. Bringing the concept of outdoor cycling indoors! This class is designed to improve your stamina, endurance and cardiovascular fitness.  This class is of a general level.

Insanity®

INSANITY® is a class based on max interval training that will push you to your limits with plyometrics, strength training, resistance training, power and core training. All simply using your body to build a better body, no equipment necessary.

Kettlebells

Kettlebells are cast iron weights, ranging from 5 lbs to over 100 lbs, shaped like a ball with a handle for easy gripping. The idea is to hold the kettlebell in one or both hands and go through a variety of swings, presses or pulling motions. 

Legs, Bums & Tums

Get a firmer bum, tum and leaner legs by attending our 'Legs, Bums & Tums' workouts. This class is of a general level.

Pilates

A mind/body workout focusing on core stability with an emphasis on strengthening the abdominal and back region. This class will develop your flexibility and endurance while improving your posture and correcting muscle imbalances. A general level class.

Yoga Classes

This yoga class will focus on the correct way to breathe and perform various physical yoga movements which will help to bring balance, strength and a sense of well being to the entire body. A class designed for all levels of fitness.
